About a month ago we walked outside and we came face to face with a polar bear. Unfortunatly, for the bear, it was dead.
The week before a fellow teacher was out at her camp, when her husband spotted the polar bear near by and shot it in self protection. The skin of that bear was now being hung out to dry.
As sad as this sight was, we knew this was probably our only chance to see a polar bear.
There are lot of things about Northern living that we have to adjust to, however there are some things you just never get used to.
