Paraskiing

A paraskiing group was in town this week, and our students were lucky enough to get a go at this extreme sport.

The paraskiers say that Nunavik is their dream location, as the climate and the terrain make for perfect conditions.

The sun and wind were strong so these secondary students had a great day out on the bay.

Having fun until the sun went down.

Just our luck that while we were out one of the dogsled teams went out to practice. I wasn't able to get a good picture, as those dogs can really move it. The big race across the Ungava coast of Nunavik starts tomorow, so I hope to get better pictures when the race comes through town at the end of the week. I believe Kangiqsujuaq has three teams entered.
